Training

Cranes

Crane operators perform a specialist job and must have a significant level of knowledge and experience to perform their work safely and accurately. It is essential that workers in the crane industry have completed the appropriate accredited unit standard training to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, to minimise risks to employees and the public. A certified crane operator will be able to manage these risks and use a crane safely within a worksite.

Transport

Transporting a crane and related equipment to different worksites requires an experienced and knowledgeable crane operator to ensure they pack up, travel with and set up their equipment safely. Transporting a crane provides several challenges, requiring the user to obtain a Class One or Class Two Pilot certification or/and a Bridge Engineering Self-Supervision qualification.

Construction

Within the construction industry, it can be necessary to drive a special type of vehicle on the road at some point. Vehicles that use rollers, self-laying tracks or a large wheeled vehicle require the driver to have a specific driver licence endorsement. We can help you or your employees obtain these endorsements to transport cranes with our licence endorsement unit standard training.

Health and Safety

All businesses are required to minimize or eliminate risks within the workplace to employees and to the public. As the crane industry is potentially high risk, health and safety training is essential for all business owners and their employees. We offer two health and safety training unit standards, either taught on their own or covered as a part of our other crane training units.
