Crawler Cranes
Operating a crawler crane requires specific skills including using an overhead crawler crane, demobilizing and moving a crawler track crane, as well as lifting and placing loads. Earn a National Certificate in Crawler Cranes with our Christchurch based crane training team. The unit standards covered in our crane training include # 3787, 3788, 3789, 497 and 17593 as per Mobile crane training, plus the addition of:
27676: Configure alattice boom trunk crawler crane and lift and place regular loads.
Rigger Dogman
A Rigger or a Dogman is tasked with the moving of large heavy pipes and other heavy equipment. To achieve this safely, they must earn a National Certificate in Rigger Dogman Operations, which require the unit standards of:
3789: as per mobile crane training
3801: Prepare and sling complex loads for crane operations.
Mobile crane operators can access NZQA approved Christchurch crane training at JC Operator & Rigging. Our crane operator training includes completion required unit standards, with a National Certificate in Mobile Cranes.
